Looking for a subject to paint I went through my pile of old abandoned work and found the start of a demonstration I had given many years back to students showing how to use treated paper in watercolor.  I had started a painting of Market Street Broiler when it first began.  I actually did a 39”x29” one in acrylic of nearly the same subject which is in a California restaurant.  When I uncovered this one I decided it had possibilities to finish and entered the final painting in the signature watercolor show for Utah Watercolor Society at Red Butte.  Voila—it won an award.  Good to check on unfinished work, my friends.
