Alice combines infinite curiosity with light and color, seasoned with diverse work experience and time spent with interesting people, then throws in the desire to record what she sees. These things mixed together make Alice the classically driven symbolist painter she is today.
Pushing paint around allows Alice to explore peoples’ relationship to themselves, their relationships to others and their relationships to the situations in which they find themselves.
She was fortunate to study classical painting and drawing with Greg Hindle of The Ontario College of Art, portraiture with Ronald Bayens, contemporary and abstract art with Joanne Bockna. She has spent time in the Veni Vidi Atelier with Pauline Bradshaw, a world renown contemporary classical painter, along with various other instructors over the years.
Alice lives in Angus, Ontario with Skip, the Miniature Schnauzer, who bosses her around effortlessly.
